Relax...Give God The Box

I took a few days of vacation.  It was much needed.  In actuality, I have been off for 5 days and it has been great.   I had time to spend with my wife and just talk about things we normally don't talk about.  Even though I had alot on my mind, the days off from work was still relaxing.  I like The Message translation of Psalm 9:9-10:

"God's a safe-house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. The moment you arrive, you relax; you're never sorry you knocked."  Psalm 9:9-10 (The Message)

It is a delight that I can take my box of worries and pains to God.  But what about my other box?  The box of unforgivness.  The box of "things I don't understand".  The box of loving those I hate.  The box of confusion.  The box of "why me".  You get the point.  You have a box too!  You have been holding on to it for so long.  You need to relax and give God the Box.

Thank you Waldo. That scripture hit an area that needed to be touched in my life. Thank you for sharing that version and for the challenge to give God our box.
