temptation...

My wife and I are at a restaraunt...there is a sign with a piece of cake on it that says, "GO AHEAD, SPLURGE!" I am soooo tempted to buy one. There is much temptation around us...after Christmas specials are everywhere. Jesus was tempted at his weakest point...He used scripture to correct the devil. If we want to resist temptation we must have scripture in our lives. We must live, breathe and exercise our faith. Wha are you being tempted with? It might be more than just a piece of cake!

Are you actually asking?? haha! I love the anonymity of blogger, I really do.

My temptation? To run. To follow the crowd. My church is going through something right now and as much as I want to be released from it I havn't been. I see so much hurt taking place and so much more to come. It's a huge burden, one that I wasn't prepared to bear. True colors are coming out from people I knew and trusted and it hurts, it aches inside. I want it to all go away, I want it to be fixed. But I know it will get worse before it gets better. I don't want anyone to hurt anymore than they've already been, even the person who is at the center of all this, my heart breaks for him but alas, it's not my job to restore him. I don't know why I'm there, I want to leave and that is my temptation. Perhaps for such a time as this... but I'm not ready. The burden is heavy and I'm tired.

Hopefully, this may give you some comfort.
